The maximum distance of the template is the maximum distance (including the mold adjustment stroke) between the mobile template and the fixed template after the mold is opened. The maximum platen spacing limits the maximum height of the product that can be processed by the injection molding machine.

S-mold opening stroke, mm;
hmax-maximum die thickness, mm.
3) Mold opening stroke
The maximum distance that the moving template can move is generally related to the thickness of the mold used for forming the product. In order to remove the workpiece smoothly, the stroke of the moving template must be greater than twice the maximum height of the workpiece. In order to shorten the cycle time of a product, reduce machine wear and power consumption, the template stroke should be adjusted as short as possible.
4) Maximum mold thickness and minimum thickness
The maximum thickness hmax and minimum thickness hmin of the mold are the maximum and minimum distances between the moving template and the fixed template when the movable mold template is closed and the specified clamping force is reached. The maximum mold thickness and the minimum mold thickness of an injection molding machine are also called volume modulus, which represent the thickness of the mold that the injection molding machine can accommodate.
If the mold thickness is less than the minimum mold thickness hmin, increase the mold thickness adjustment block when assembling the mold, otherwise the normal clamping force cannot be achieved and the parts may be damaged. If the mold thickness is greater than the maximum mold thickness hmax, the mold cannot be properly closed after the mold is installed, the specified clamping force cannot be achieved, and the injection molding machine cannot work. The difference between the maximum mold thickness and the minimum mold thickness is the maximum adjustable stroke of the mold adjustment device.
5) Ejection force and ejection stroke
The effective ejection force and ejection stroke can make the molded product finally separated from the mold smoothly. The product should be selected according to the shape of the product and the mold structure. The maximum ejection stroke of the general machine is fixed.
