Standard usage rules for wire cutters

- Jan 25, 2019-

Wire cutters are tools used to cut wires, also known as wire cutters and wire cutters. Do you know what are the specifications for wire cutters? Fu xin hardware electromechanical experts to tell you the use of wire cupper precautions, hope to help more safe and effective use of this tool.

Note when using wire cutters:

(1) the cutter head of wire breaking pliers is made of GCrl5 rolling bearing steel or TSA carbon tool steel. After heat treatment, the blade hardness of the cutter head is HRC55 ~ 60. The hardness of other parts is HRC33 ~ 40.

(2) the handle of ordinary type (iron handle) is made of KT33.8 malleable cast iron and annealed. The handle of tubular handle is made of black iron pipe with plastic sleeve at the end.

(3) the connecting arms are made of kt33-8 malleable cast iron or quality carbon structural steel, and the knife head screws are made of 45 quality carbon structural steel.

(4) the cutting edge of the wire cutters shall be a straight line. After the shear test, the two blade blades shall not have any defects such as dislocation, edge breakage and dent.

(5) the surface of wire cutters shall be free from cracks, burrs, shrinkage holes, bruises, rust and other defects.

(6) the cutter head of the wire cutters shall be electroplated or blackened and painted, and the paint layer shall be uniform, uniform in color and smooth, and there shall be no omission, peeling, air bubbles or other defects.

(7) cutting edge thickness of wire cutters; 450 mm, 600 mm for 0.3 ~ 0.5 mm; The sizes of 750, 900 and 1050 mm are 0.4-0.7 mm.

(1) do not shear the metal wires above HRC30 or beyond the specified diameter range.

(2) should not be metal wire shearing temperature above 200 ℃.

(3) it shall be operated by one person only.

(4) the handle shall not be arbitrarily extended or the handle of the smashing pliers shall be connected to avoid damage or fracture of the parts.

(5) the cutting head of wire cutters cannot be used as a hammer to avoid damage to the cutting head.

(6) if the gap between the cutting edge of the pliers is too large after use, the adjusting screw can be used for appropriate adjustment.

After reading the notes for use above, do you know what are the standards for using wire cutters? Wire cutters are generally composed of cutting head (cutting head), upper and lower pressing plate, safety plate (check and retreat piece), cutting head screw, three-leg screw (connection screw), rivet, etc.
