There are two types of injection molding machine names:
1. Tonnage, that is, clamping force
2. Gram weight, that is, the screw barrel capacity.
The clamping force is whether the injection molding machine can withstand the pressure on the projected area of the product in the mold. The cylinder capacity is the material that can be used for your product in one shot.
Select the injection molding machine according to the clamping force, clamping force = clamping force constant X projection area of the product PE clamping constant: 0.32 projection area: length * width = area. Clamping force = area * clamping constant (the clamping force of the injection molding machine needs to be 1.17 times larger than the clamping force of the product)
Select according to the barrel capacity
The specifications of the barrel capacity equipment have detailed parameters. If the product weighs 70g (adding handle), then the minimum barrel capacity requires an injection molding machine of 100g. (One injection amount is suitable for 70% of the total barrel capacity. There will be problems such as lack of materials, shrinkage, etc.).
The tonnage of clamping force is not directly related to the weight of the product. Different manufacturers have different tonnages of injection molding machines, and the barrel capacity is not necessarily the same. But there can be a general comparison. For example: 360T injection molding machine, the material capacity is about 1000g. The material capacity of 120T injection molding machine is about 150g. The material capacity of 90T injection molding machine is about 90g.
The corresponding tonnage corresponds to the corresponding gram weight. The weight is based on PS material, but in the actual production of injection molding machine, it is impossible to make it completely according to the gram weight standard. Some machines have a higher weight and some are far from adequate. It's not that the injection molding machine is not ready, and each machine and manufacturer has a target market and product.
The most scientific thing is to look at the tonnage, and then face the weight, the distance between the tie rods, the modulus, the opening stroke ... and finally choose the machine.
