The clamping device shall meet the following requirements:
1) There is sufficient clamping force to ensure that the mold will not overflow under the pressure of the melt.
2) There is enough template area, template stroke and template spacing to meet the molding requirements of plastic products with different dimensions.
3) The running speed of the template should meet the requirements of fast and slow when the mold is closed, and then slow and then slow when the mold is opened, to prevent the collision of the mold when the mold is closed, and realize the smooth release of the plastic product.
4) The template must have sufficient strength to ensure that it will not be deformed or damaged due to frequent compression during the molding process, which will affect the stability of the product size and the life of the injection molding machine.
The mold clamping device is mainly composed of a mold clamping mechanism, a mold adjusting mechanism, an ejection mechanism, a front and rear fixed template, a moving template, a draw rod, and a cylinder.
1) Mold clamping mechanism.
According to the different ways to achieve the clamping force, the structure of the clamping device is usually hydraulic and hydraulic-mechanical.
2) Mould adjusting mechanism
The mold adjustment mechanism is set to achieve the change in mold thickness. It is mainly for hydraulic-mechanical mold clamping devices. Because the stroke of the movable template cannot be adjusted, in order to meet the requirements of molds with different thicknesses, a mold adjustment mechanism must be provided, including: Adjust the distance. Move the clamping cylinder position to adjust the distance. Adjust the tie nut. Adjust the distance between the large nuts by moving the templates.
3) Ejection mechanism
The ejection mechanism is set for ejecting the plastic products in the mold cavity, so it should have sufficient ejection force and stroke. Generally it is divided into three types: mechanical ejection, hydraulic ejection and pneumatic ejection.
