Plasticizing capacity refers to the amount of material that can be plasticized by the plasticizing unit per unit of time (usually based on standard polystyrene). The plasticizing device of the injection molding machine should ensure that it can provide a sufficient amount of plasticized uniform melt within a specified time. The plasticizing device must cooperate with the molding cycle of the injection molding machine. If the plasticizing capacity is high and the air cycle time is too long, the ability of the plasticizing device cannot be exerted; otherwise, the molding cycle will be lengthened. Therefore, the level of plasticizing ability will affect the level of production efficiency. Increasing the speed of the screw, increasing the driving power, and improving the structure of the screw can improve the plasticizing ability.
